One day, the teacher asked the children if they have any story, imaginary or not, about the moon and the sun.

Charlotte answered immediately: “Moon is the natural satellite of Earth, and Sun is the brightest star”.

Tommy was anxious to add something, too: “They never meet, because sun shines in the daytime, while moon and stars shine in the night”.

Little Julian raised his hand, so he could tell his own story:

“In my perfect world, I imagine a family, Papa Sun works in the night shift, so he leaves us, his kids, every evening, when Momma Moon comes home from work and takes care of us, every night, while Papa Sun works”.

“This is so silly”, laughed Tommy. “And they never sleep, because are working or taking care of their kids!”

“Well, parents are only taking naps, from time to time, so they could have good care of their kids”, answered Julian.

“What about the dark and cloudy days and nights, when we can’t see them at all?”

“They are taking a nap, so they could be nice and bright for us, again!”, answered Julian.

“And the eclipses…”, tried Tommy to laugh at Julian’s story one more time.

“This is my imaginary world, and it works perfect for me. Maybe you should stop looking for mean questions to make me look silly, and start trying to tell us the story of your perfect world”, said Julian. “I am sure you will imagine something awesome, and we will enjoy to listen your story”, added Julian.

Now, what would be your story with Moon and Sun? It would be a happy one, a scary one, or just scientific facts you learned from other people? It doesn’t really matter, as long as it makes you happy, and it puts a big smile on your face!
