Seagulls and bald eagles

„Why are you looking up in the air?

Watch your steps! It’s nothing, there!”

„I am watching the seagulls,

And imagine they are eagles!

I love bald eagles, you know,

Their white heads look like snow!”

„Eagles are the only birds

That reach God, believe my words!”

„I would love to see one real,

But it seems kind of big deal!”

„Well, imagine what you’d do

When you’ll see your dreams come true,

And an eagle nice will fly

Right in front of your blue eyes!”

„First, I’d say a big loud “wow”,

Try to follow him somehow!

Maybe I will take a pic

To show it to my friend Nick.

I would love to watch him close,

Kind of dangerous, I suppose,

But I’d try to give him fish,

Any food that he might wish!

I would love to be my friend,

So could easy understand

How majestic he’s for me!

But it’s hard for me to see

Any eagle on the sky,

Only seagulls flying high!”

„Just keep dreaming like you do,

And you’ll see an eagle, too!

You might travel to their lands,

And you might have… eagle friends!”

„Grandma, you’re a dreamer, too!

I love dream along with you!”

„Well, you are my dreams come true,

Like your Dad and Mom are too!”

„What about Grandpa, he’s not?!”

„Everything began with him,

He was my very first dream!

So, believe me when I say,

You’ll see bald eagles, one day!”
