Yummy sweet… bread fingers

When you have too much bread leftovers, because you can’t help yourself not to buy more than you can eat, here is my… sweet solution! Your kids and family will love it, simply because it’s fast and easy to reinvent bread leftovers my way!
First thing first, turn your bread leftovers into uniform rectangular slices, not thicker than your fingers.
Spray an oven tray with vegetable oil, not olive oil because its taste doesn’t work great with your sweet treats. Place the bread fingers on the tray and spray them with oil, too. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl and sprinkle a good amount of the mix on your bread fingers. Place the tray into oven, until your bread fingers will turn golden and crispy and your kitchen will smell like… happy Christmas days! You can also be more creative and replace cinnamon with coconut flakes! Also, you can give the bread fingers a… fast bath into some vanilla or almond essence, before you put them into the oven tray and spray them with veggie oil, sprinkle brown sugar and so on. When ready, you can serve them with lemon cream, or you can pour some melted chocolate on them and sprinkle fresh orange zest.
There are so many ways you could indulge yourself and your dear ones with this sweet bread fingers, but also with their salty version. This one is also fast and easy to prepare and enjoy! Just replace the sugar with salt and the cinnamon with thyme and a touch of garlic. Or, for a spicy version, smoked paprika makes miracles along with garlic! Be creative and involve your kids and grandkids in this process! You will have so much fun, trust me!
